Charlotte Scale Modelers gathered once again on January 9th, 2026. Elections were held for Club Officers for the upcoming year. Rodney Jacobs is CSM Club President, Dave Bixler, Vice President and Gary Pearson will stay on as trusted Treasurer. Member John Musolino, who has IT experience will be looking at the website and making whatever changes might be needed, etc. A big thank you for stepping up and offering this help. Congratulations to the newly elected leadership and many thanks to outgoing President Joel Robinson and VP John Scott. Our next meeting will be February 6, 2026 @ 7:30
Reminder, our next meeting will be on Friday, October 3, 2025 @ 7:30PM. Bring your latest completed projects. This will be our last meeting before contest setup on November 7, 2025.
Reminder that there is a separate page for our upcoming regional contest on 8 November 2025. There you will all the information you'll. Look for Model Entry and Registration Forms in the near future that you can fill out online and then print to bring with you.

Charlotte Scale Modelers will once again meet on July 11, 2025 @ 7:30PM. A change from our normal meeting schedule due to the 4th of July holiday. That being said, Happy Independence Day!!
Put down the glue and spend some time with your family. We'll see everyone on the 11th.

We'll have the latest updates for the November Regional Contest. Volunteer opportunities abound.
For the armor buffs, the AMPS Nationals will be on May 15-18, 2025 in Camp Hill, PA. A great venue site and a great show.

Important Update!!

For our IPMS members, check out the latest issue of the IPMS Journal. Congratulations to club members Jorge Suarez and Bill Bosworth for being recognized for 50 years of membership in IPMS. These guys were cutting plastic sprues with sharpened flints back in the day.

Our next club meeting will be on Friday, March 1, 2024. We will have the usual show-n-tell, so bring those completed models for all to see.

The March 1, 2024 meeting was again well attended.
Our Club Secretary Joel Robinson has been elevated to the position of President, taking over from the outgoing President Dave Maher, who is relocating to Cary, NC.
He made the move official by joining the Eagle Squadron IPMS Chapter in nearby Raleigh.
We owe Dave many thanks for his service and dedication to the club and for trying to inject a bit of sanity into the club proceedings. I want to thank him for his friendship.
He's not that far away and we'll be seeing him around.
John Scott will be staying on as Club VP, and Gary Pearson has graciously agreed to stay on as Treasurer.
Yours truly, Chris Fish will try out the role of Club Secretary for the time being.
Reminder: On March 23, 2024, Grand Strand Modelers will be hosting the Region 12 Model Contest in Myrtle Beach. Further info and links are on our Events page.

Check the Modelers Reference Page. Recently added was an extensive list of "Aftermarket" producers. These include items for every modeling genre. Graciously prepared and provided by Roger Wood.

Charlotte Scale Modelers held their regular monthly on Friday, April 5th. As always there was good attendance and four new faces that we hope will be back as regulars.
On the business side of the meeting, there was discussion about possibly hosting another regional contest during the November 2025 timeframe. Many things still need to be ironed out before hitting the 'Go' button.
The 'Show & Tell' segment had a table full of high-quality models for us to admire. One model brought by a young man named Henry, recently won an award at the recent 2024 Region 12 Contest at Myrtle Beach, SC. His first contest ever. Congratulations Henry!
